Went for an Aurora (which never turned up), stayed for the moonlight and clear skies. Capturing a moonshine rainbow on the spray from the dam spill was a bonus. Just one other element of magic on a glorious night.

The Interplanetary Cycle Trail are a series of sculptures spaced along the Otago Central Rail Trail, sized and at a to scale distance from the Sun in Ranfurly. Seemed like the perfect subjects for some astro shoots. Pluto Neptune Uranus Saturn

Spent a cold night up Duffers Saddle on Nevis Road trying to get my first full Milky Way arch over the Hector Range. Didn’t quite get the perspectives right, but still happy with the results.
During lockdown, within and above the darkness, and eerie silence on the streets of town, there is tremendous beauty. I hope I have succeeded in capturing some of it.
